Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sourcing Support Specialist to join our supply chain and procurement department. This role is integral to optimizing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient procurement processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS, along with expertise in contract negotiation, procurement management, and supply chain operations. Responsibilities
- Support sourcing activities by conducting market research and supplier evaluations to identify optimal procurement options.
- Assist in contract negotiation processes, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and internal policies.
- Manage procurement workflows utilizing ERP systems including SAP and Oracle EBS, ensuring accurate purchase orders and materials management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on production planning, logistics, and quality management to align sourcing strategies with manufacturing needs.
- Perform root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and develop corrective action plans.
- Maintain supplier management records, monitor supplier performance, and foster strong supplier relationships.
- Contribute to category management initiatives by analyzing pricing trends, supply chain risks, and market conditions.
- Support contract management activities including review, renewal, and compliance tracking.
- Assist in implementing procurement best practices related to materials management, logistics, and inventory control.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects related to procurement processes and supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement management, sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, and supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with MRP systems, production planning, and materials management principles.
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and contract management best practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build productive supplier relationships.
- Analytical mindset capable of root cause analysis and problem-solving within complex supply chains.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and finance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education requirements. Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
