Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead kitchen operations, inspire culinary excellence, and ensure exceptional food quality across all service areas. As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, overseeing food preparation, and maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow during all shifts
- Lead food production efforts, maintaining consistency and quality across menu items
- Oversee food handling, preparation, and presentation in accordance with safety standards and dietary requirements
- Manage inventory control, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
- Support menu planning and development to enhance culinary offerings and meet guest expectations
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes
- Enforce food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen environment
- Prepare made to go orders
Requirements
- Previous experience as a chef
- Knowledge of food production techniques, food safety standards, and dietary accommodations
- Experience with banquet service, catering, and large-scale food service is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food handling regulations, menu planning, and kitchen operations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
- Must be able to work closing shift 12pm-close
- Responsible for closing cleaning procedures
