Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Sous Chef to support kitchen operations at YummyFri. The Sous Chef will assist in managing daily food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and cooking menu items (burgers, fried chicken, fries, desserts, and drinks)
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
- Supervise kitchen helpers and support staff during shifts
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Ensure all orders are prepared quickly and accurately, especially during peak hours
- Help develop and improve recipes and menu items when needed
- Follow YummyFri’s kitchen procedures and quality standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a fast food or restaurant kitchen (preferred)
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- Ability to work under pressure and handle busy shifts
- Team player with good communication skills
- Basic leadership skills (ability to guide helpers)
- Flexible working hours (evenings, weekends, late shifts)
