Job Responsibilities
  • Maintaining high standards in accordance with the Head Chef's / Operations Manager instructions.
  • Liaising with the Head Chef / Operations Manager and implementing new menu/dishes/systems where applicable.
  • Aiding in achieving food cost, kitchen standards and overall objectives.
  • Ensuring high standard of food quality, preparation, production and assisting in service under guidance from the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
  • Completing mis en place in a timely manner.
  • Being fully aware of all Health and Safety regulations.
  • Being fully aware of all hygiene control and chemical handling.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the section employed, and assisting with any hygiene, cleanliness tasks requested by the Sous Chef / Head Chef / Operations Manager.
  • Monitoring stock movement and ordering processes.
  • Carrying out reasonable duties to assist smooth operations in the kitchen.
  • Attending scheduled mandatory meetings and suggesting improvements.
  • Reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to direct superiors.
  • Helping the Chef DE Partie, Demi Chef De Partie and the Commis Chefs learn and improve their abilities.
  • Ensuring that knowledge of the product is maintained and communicated to all relevant personnel.
  • Complying with all Company policies.
  • Monitoring stock movement and being responsible for ordering for your section.
Job Requirements
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar field with a known F&B property or brand.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Indian & Tandoor Section, making breads & parathas.
  • Relevant qualification in hospitality and F&B.
  • Ability to adapt to a multi cultural environment.
  • Results focused.
  • Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
