Sous Chef (Italian & Continental Cuisine)

We are hiring on behalf of our Kuwait client, a high end hospitality group operating multiple premium dining concepts with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and elevated guest experience. The Sous Chef is responsible for planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen. This will involve a large degree of supervising other team members working in the kitchen. As assistant to the Area Chef/Executive Sous Chef, the Sous Chef will help with menu planning, inventory, and managing supplies. Also, aid in making sure the kitchen is up to safety standards and that staff obeys sanitation rules. During operation hours, it is important that the Sous Chef is always quick on his/her feet and should be able to make smart decisions instantly for the benefit and success of the organization. The Sous Chef is responsible for staff scheduling, discipline, quality of food, hygiene, safety, etc.

Open to candidates currently based in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure food quality, consistency, presentation, and compliance with recipes, SOPs, and food safety standards.
  • Manage BOH operations including inventory, ordering, stock rotation, par levels, and cost control.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleaning schedules, equipment upkeep, and maintenance tracking.
  • Supervise, schedule, train, and develop culinary team members, including daily briefings and grooming standards.
  • Monitor menu availability, target dishes, and guest expectations to support sales and operational goals.
  • Prepare and share required daily and weekly operational and financial reports with the Area Chef or Head Chef.

Experience Required
Minimum: 7 to 8 years of experience in the same field. At least 2 years of experience in the same position within a well established restaurant or hotel
Education Qualification

  • Minimum: Diploma/Degree (Preferable in Catering Science or Culinary Arts)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: BD975.000 - BD1,050.000 per month
