Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled South Indian Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in South Indian cuisine, food preparation, and kitchen operations. This role involves preparing authentic dishes, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities

• Prepare traditional South Indian dishes with authentic flavors and presentation standards
• Plan and execute daily menu items in accordance with dietary guidelines and customer preferences
• Ensure all food preparation meets safety and sanitation standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
• Assist with food plating, garnishing, and presentation for both dine-in and catering services
• Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours
• Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of traditional dishes while maintaining quality

Requirements

• Proven experience in South Indian cuisine, with a strong focus on authentic recipes
• Background in food industry roles such as culinary aide, kitchen staff, or restaurant cook preferred
• Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and meal assembly techniques
• Experience in fine dining or catering environments is advantageous
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods specific to South Indian dishes
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards
• Culinary experience with a focus on traditional South Indian ingredients and cooking techniques is essential
• Prior experience in the food service or restaurant industry is highly desirable
