Spa Therapist

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide massage and body treatment services to guests using props, products, and body scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy. Assess client needs and contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before beginning service. Maintain current techniques and modalities, escort guests, arrange and maintain treatment rooms, and promote comfort, safety, and security throughout the service. Promote and sell spa and salon services, including retail offerings. Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools and treatment areas, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies at shift end. Monitor time schedule, handle inappropriate guest behavior per Marriott SOPs, and report accidents or unsafe conditions. Follow company policies and maintain confidentiality and professional appearance. Welcome and acknowledge all guests; anticipate and address their needs. Communicate clearly and professionally. Build positive working relationships. Perform physical duties including standing, walking, lifting, and manipulating objects up to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• License or Certification: State or Regional Massage License.
