Laboratorio-Espacial LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Space Lab Coordinator to oversee daily operations of our space simulation and applied research laboratory in Al Wakrah. This role supports multidisciplinary teams working on microgravity simulations, materials testing, environmental control systems, and experimental protocol execution.

Role Overview

The Space Lab Coordinator ensures that laboratory activities run safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established research protocols. You will act as the central point of coordination between researchers, engineers, visiting scientists, and facility management, maintaining operational readiness of all lab systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily laboratory schedules, experiments, and equipment usage across multiple research teams
• Maintain compliance with safety standards for high-energy, vacuum, and simulation environments
• Oversee calibration, maintenance, and readiness of lab instruments and simulation modules
• Manage inventory of lab materials, consumables, and specialized research supplies
• Support experiment setup for microgravity simulation, thermal vacuum testing, and atmospheric modeling systems
• Document experimental procedures, operational logs, and incident reports
• Liaise with engineering and research departments to optimize workflow and reduce downtime
• Assist visiting researchers with onboarding, facility orientation, and protocol adherence
• Ensure proper handling and storage of sensitive materials and experimental data

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field
• 2–5 years of experience in laboratory coordination, technical operations, or research support
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety procedures and experimental protocols
• Familiarity with simulation environments, instrumentation systems, or aerospace testing facilities
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent research activities under strict timelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, space systems engineering, or advanced materials testing
• Knowledge of vacuum systems, thermal control systems, or environmental simulation chambers
• Experience working in international or multidisciplinary research environments
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems and lab management software

Work Environment

This position is based at Laboratorio-Espacial LLC’s facility in Al Wakrah, a coastal city supporting Qatar’s expanding scientific and industrial research ecosystem. The role involves working in controlled laboratory environments with occasional exposure to high-specification testing systems.
