Spanish Copy Editor Looking for an experienced Spanish Copy Editor to support our Copy team for up to 40 hours per week. In this role, you'll review and edit a wide variety of communications materials (including print collateral, web copy, digital marketing deliverables, and more) as needed. You'll work closely with our Copywriting Manager, Senior Spanish Copywriter and Contract Spanish Copywriters to help maintain our writing style, making corrections and suggestions for clarity, consistency and accuracy. Job Responsibilities: • Reviews a variety of Spanish materials that have been translated from English for spelling and grammatical errors, factual inaccuracies, formatting issues, etc. • Applies knowledge of AP and company style manuals to make edits and suggestions for clarity, consistency and accuracy. • Fact checks to ensure content accuracy. (Including job titles, historical data, marketing offers, etc.) • Works quickly with extreme attention to detail; meets tight deadlines consistently. • Collaborates with team members and regularly attends project meetings virtually. • Ability to analyze copy from a transcreation position when appropriate. Education/Experience: • Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. • At least five years of professional copy editing/proofreading experience. • Expert knowledge of the AP Stylebook, experience applying its rules to copy and experience explaining suggested copy edits to others. Additional Information: • The Copy Editor sometimes reviews sensitive material and must maintain confidentiality. • Remote position; local or MT/PT candidates preferred. • Up to 40 hours per week, as needed.
