Spanish Preschool Teacher

Qualifications: Are you fluent in Spanish? Do you have at least 2 years supervised classroom teaching experience with children age six or under? Are you great with young children?

You will have the opportunity to work with a small class of children in a private school dedicated to diversity and multilingualism. You will teach them your language while their brains are young and easily wired for bilingualism. You must be a native Spanish speaker with experience teaching young children. We are a well established private school and a leader in the early childhood language immersion field. In addition to language immersion, our curriculum includes an emphasis on Nature Exploration, Yoga, and Art. We are looking for a creative individual who is enthusiastic about sharing her language and culture with young children. You will have an opportunity to grow in your career. Salary range is based upon experience, skill, and credentials.

Teachers Responsibilities

• Teaching and nurturing a diverse classroom of young children;
• Creating curriculum content related to Latino culture, and creating emergent curriculum based upon children’s curiosity about nature;
• Developing weekly lesson plans during prep time;
• Implementing best-practices in early childhood language acquisition;
• Creating and sustaining a safe and nurturing environment;
• Helping to create a school-wide culture of exploration, respect for nature, kindness, and creative play;
• Helping to build a collaborative community of parents, school leadership, staff and children;
• Advancing your professional credentials through coursework;
• Carrying out other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Education:

• Bachelors in Early Childhood Education (Required)
• Certified in Early Childhood Education (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
