Our practice specializes in premium cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, general ophthalmology, and cutting-edge clinical research. We are seeking a motivated, professional, and compassionate Spanish-speaking Ophthalmic Scribe to join our growing team.

Position Summary
The Ophthalmic Scribe works closely with physicians to document patient visits accurately and efficiently while supporting clinic workflow and patient care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and fluent in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities

Accurately document physician-patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures

Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinic flow

Obtain and document patient history and information

Perform basic ophthalmic testing and vision screening as needed

Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients and families

Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation standards

Assist with patient questions and coordinate care needs

Support clinic operations, cleaning duties, and other team responsibilities as needed

Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service at all times
Qualifications

Fluent in both Spanish and English (required)

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience in ophthalmology or medical scribing preferred

Ophthalmic technician experience or certification is a plus

Experience with EMR systems; ModMed experience preferred
