Spanish Speaking/Traveling Visitation Facilitator /Case Manager

Classification: Contract Worker (1099) Part-Time

This position is for facilitators who are willing to travel to surrounding counties to conduct supervise visits in these communities listed here. Hamilton, Hancock, Johnson, Hendricks and Madison. Also, facilitator has to be willing to work evenings (After school) and Weekends also. If you do not want to travel to counties outside Marion County or work evenings or weekends, please do not apply.

Glasshouse Visitation & Nurturing Center is an agency that only service Supervised Visits for the (DCS) Department of Children Services. The Visitation Facilitator is responsible for supervising the court ordered parenting time. The Visitation Facilitator will protect the integrity of the parenting time by providing a positive atmosphere where parents and children may connect and interact in a safe, structured environment.

Responsibilities

  • It is the responsibility of the Visitation Facilitator to abide by the court ordered contract regarding the amount of parenting time, the level of supervision, approved visitors and no contact orders.
  • Provide transportation for clients as needed.
  • The Visitation Facilitator will monitor all interactions between the visiting family and will assist the family by strengthening, teaching, demonstrating, and role modeling appropriate skills.
  • At each visit, the Visitation Facilitator will accurately and objectively document observed interaction between parent and child/children while in supervised visits. Facilitator will utilize approved Glasshouse Visitation & Nurturing Center and Department of Child Services curriculum for documentation. Reports are to be completed by midnight on the day of the visit. In the event of a cancellation, a cancellation report must be sent to the referring agent within 48 hours.
  • A monthly report for each assigned case must be completed by the first of each month.
  • It is the responsibility of the Visitation Facilitator to keep current and accurate information in the client files.
  • The Facilitator is expected to attend meetings and court hearings upon request from the referring agent.
  • It is the responsibility of the Visitation Facilitator to communicate with the Team Supervisor and the referring agency about their assigned cases. Any concerns need to be reported immediately via email to the Team Supervisor and the referring agent.
  • Attends Bi-weekly supervision meetings and actively participates in the supervision process and training.

Education/Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Criminal Justice. Other bachelor’s degrees will be accepted with 39 credit hours in human /behavioral/social services or education.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Children of all ages and empathy for children with trauma.
  • Patience with adults that are in the (DCS) Department of Children Services and are in need of supervised visits.
  • Knowledgeable of the population that includes Domestic Violence's, Drug abuse, Mental Health issues, Trauma.

Associate degree, High School Diploma, or GED,

Must also have:

  • At least 2 years’ full-time employment experience providing direct services to children & families that includes providing services to families that need assistance in the protection and care of their children.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Children of all ages and empathy for children with trauma. (Children Friendly)
  • Patience with adults that are in the (DCS) Department of Children Services and are in need of supervised visits.
  • Knowledgeable of the population that includes Domestic Violence's, Drug abuse, Mental Health issues, Trauma.

Required

  • Must be available to work evenings (after school hours) and weekends
  • You must have your own laptop, possess the ability to complete timely visitation notes electronically by midnight on the same day as the visit.
  • Must possess knowledge of technology and be comfortable operating apps on phones, mobile tablets, laptops.
  • Applicants must interact well with internet browsers and insert daily notes, monthly notes and create service plans.
  • You must be a fast learner, highly organized, DEPENDABLE, communicate well by email and a critical thinker in tough situations.
  • Must be proficient in writing.
  • (Do not apply if you are not proficient in speaking spanish, utilizing a computer, writing or if you are not a fast learner, not highly organized, can't communicate well by email or not a critical thinker in tough situations.)

Also Required

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to use a private car to transport self and others and must comply with the state policy concerning minimum car insurance coverage
  • You are a contractor (1099) making you responsible for your own gas while contracting in the field.
  • Must be able to pass a CPS, Criminal Background Check in all states
  • Attain / maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
