Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive Spanish language curricula tailored to diverse learning levels and styles.
• Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate multimedia, technology, and interactive activities to enhance language acquisition.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating an inclusive environment conducive to active participation and respect.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school-wide initiatives.
• Incorporate best practices in literacy education, phonetics, grammar, vocabulary development, and cultural studies into daily instruction.
• Utilize learning technology tools and resources to facilitate innovative teaching methods and personalized learning experiences.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies for language education.
• Proficiency in AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, proofreading, and copy editing to ensure high-quality instructional materials.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods for language learners.
• Background in linguistics, creative writing, or higher education teaching enhances instructional versatility.
• Ability to mentor students individually or in groups while supporting diverse learning needs including special education or Montessori approaches.
• Organizational skills necessary for lesson planning, research integration, and educational administration tasks.
