Position Summary

The Spanish Teacher at Crestwell will play a key role in delivering a rigorous, engaging, and personalized Spanish language educational experience for students in grades K-8. This position involves creating and implementing dynamic Spanish language lesson plans that promote language acquisition, cultural awareness, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching Spanish, building strong relationships with students, and contributing to a collaborative school community.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum Delivery

  • Develop and implement Spanish language lessons that engage students in hands-on, interactive learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the language proficiency levels and learning needs of each student.
  • Integrate 1:1 digital learning tools to enhance language instruction and student engagement.
  • Incorporate cultural elements to provide students with a well-rounded understanding of Spanish-speaking countries.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formal and informal assessments and adjust teaching strategies as needed.

Classroom Management

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and supported.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain an organized and productive learning space.
  • Guide students in the development of social-emotional skills to promote positive interactions and self-regulation.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.
  • Participate in regular professional development to stay informed about the latest best practices in language instruction and education.
  • Engage in ongoing reflection to continuously improve teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress, classroom activities, and upcoming events.
  • Encourage family involvement in the educational process through meetings, workshops, and other activities.
  • Represent the school positively within the broader community to promote Crestwell’s mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Elementary Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification in Spanish or Elementary Education (or ability to obtain certification) preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish with strong language proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Experience teaching Spanish to K-8 school students preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
