The Richard Allen Preparatory Charter School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Special Education Case Manager position. The Special Education Case Manager provides individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities, helping them achieve academic, social, and behavioral success in inclusive and specialized learning environments. This role works closely with students, families, teachers, and support staff to implement IEPs and ensure students receive the services and accommodations they need.

Special Education Case Manager Responsibilities & Duties:
- Employ special educational strategies and techniques during instruction to improve executive functioning, language acquisition, cognition, and emotional regulation.
- Instruct students in academic subjects using a variety of evidence-based instructional practices, including multi-sensory learning and methodologies aligned with the Science of Reading, to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Teach and model socially acceptable behavior and self-regulation strategies, as determined by the students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), by employing trauma-informed practices within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
- Modify and differentiate the general education curriculum for students with disabilities based upon a variety of instructional techniques, assistive technologies, and digital learning tools.
- Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s progress, determine priorities, and foster collaborative home-school partnerships.
- ·Confer with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, related service providers (OT/PT/SLP), and other professionals to develop comprehensive IEPs designed to promote students' academic, physical, and social/emotional development.
- Serve as Case Manager to maintain accurate, complete, and secure digital student records; prepare reports and IEPs as required by IDEA, state laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
- Partner with general education teachers in co-teaching and collaborative consultation models to ensure effective communication, accommodation implementation, and continuous monitoring of students in inclusive settings.
- Utilize Data-Based Individualization (DBI) to collect, graph, and analyze progress-monitoring data for the purpose of adjusting and intensifying classroom interventions.
- Serve as an active member of a multidisciplinary team as appropriate to support school-wide equity and student success initiatives.
- Assist in the aggregation and analysis of data required for local, state, and federal reporting.
- Maintain professional competence by participating in ongoing professional development focused on modern pedagogy, neurodiversity, assistive technology, and other professional opportunities.
Planning:
- Collaboratively reviews general education lesson plans to embed accommodations, modifications, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles based upon student need and IEP goals/interventions.
- Selects and evaluates resources, including assistive technology and specialized software, to accommodate a variety of learning styles and neurodivergent needs.
- Plans and implements systematic, objective evaluations of student progress toward mastery of IEP goals.
Instruction:
- Supports/provides push in and pull out instructional support to students on the teacher’s caseload
- Evaluates student progress.
- Provides sufficient reinforcement or practice to verify understanding and/or mastery.
- Monitors student progress, adjusts modifications of instructional program for student
- Modifies teacher generated assessments
- Maintains timely and accurate records of student behavior.
- Provides feedback to students and parents regarding progress.
Communications:
- Communicates with the school community on students’ performance.
- Promotes student growth through contact with staff and parents.
- Facilitates home—school communication by attending/initiating parent conferences, telephoning and/or sending written communication that is composed with tact and sensitivity.
- Maintains confidentiality.

Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Teacher status as prescribed by federal and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, special education laws, and instructional best practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
RAPCS is a public middle charter school in its 25th year of operation. Candidates must possess a minimum of fours years of college. We prefer prior education experience, preferably in an urban setting. Ideal candidates will be able to contribute their time and talents for student instruction and additional after-school programs and projects.

Pay: $57,500.00 - $87,500.00 per year
