Special Education / Child Psychology Internships

Internship position(s) available at THRIVE's Rainbow Class program.

Ideal for students/recent graduates interested in the fields of Special Needs Education or Child Psychology looking to gain some hands-on experience alongside our diverse team of professionals.

The Rainbow Class program is a school-readiness initiative for children with diverse developmental, behavioural, and communication needs.

The internship is designed for a 3-4 month duration, during which the person in this role would support our team and gain exposure to the following activities:

  • Planning and leading customized learning activities that promote each child’s physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and self-help skills.
  • Designing and implementing daily lessons and play-based experiences to support holistic growth and development.
  • Observing and recording each child’s participation, learning progress, and behaviour through daily notes and progress records.
  • Using these observations to prepare progress summaries and measure growth relative to each child’s baseline.
  • Identifying and documenting learning or behaviour concerns, sharing updates with parents, and suggesting simple strategies for home reinforcement.
  • Collaborating closely with families, educators, and specialists to ensure consistent learning goals across settings.
  • Maintaining a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment suited to each child’s developmental needs.

We are conveniently located in Gulberg, Lahore, near the Main Boulevard, and have a friendly female-led work environment.

THRIVE is a Centre for Health and Wellbeing that hosts a multi-disciplinary team including psychologists, speech & language pathologists, behaviour therapists, a developmental paediatrician, a psychiatrist, and other professionals all focused on bringing an evidence-based and holistic approach to supporting clients needs. We work with children, adults, their families, and also offer services for school communities including consultancy services, psycho-educational assessments, and tailored trainings & workshops.

Pay: Rs1.00 per month
