Einstein Tutoring is seeking a patient, engaging, and academically strong tutor to support an 11th grade student in core academic subjects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working one-on-one with students and can help build confidence, organization, and understanding in high school coursework.

The tutor will provide structured academic support in subjects including math, history, and science while also helping the student develop stronger study habits, time management skills, and overall academic confidence.

Sessions will take place in person at the Milton Public Library in a quiet, focused learning environment.

This is a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact on a student’s academic progress while working within a supportive and professional tutoring organization.

Schedule

Location: Milton Public Library, Milton, MA

Session Length: 2 hours per session

Availability Window: Between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one academic tutoring for an 11th grade student in subjects including math, history, and science
  • Assist the student with understanding assignments, reviewing material, and completing coursework
  • Break down complex concepts into clear and manageable steps
  • Help the student stay organized with assignments, deadlines, and study plans
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and engagement
  • Build a positive mentoring relationship that supports both academic progress and personal growth
  • Communicate session updates and student progress with the Einstein Tutoring team as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience tutoring or supporting high school students academically
  • Background in education, special education, psychology, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong understanding of high school level math, history, and science concepts
  • Ability to explain academic material clearly and adapt instruction to a student’s learning style
  • Experience supporting students who benefit from structured guidance and individualized support
  • Patient, approachable, and encouraging teaching style

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to the Milton Public Library
  • Prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism
  • Ability to build rapport with high school students and provide consistent academic support

Pay: $40.00 - $75.00 per hour
