Special Education Teacher

We are looking for someone with a California Educational Specialist credential for our 8th grade students with IEPs. Intern credentials are acceptable.

James Jordan Middle School is an award-winning charter school in Reseda, CA. The National Center for Urban School Transformation named JJMS 2025 Best Urban Middle School in the nation. Our 450 students come mostly from low-income homes. All of our students and staff rise to the highest standard of mutual respect and integrity. Our teachers have a great deal of influence on decisions about how courses are organized and selection of curriculum. We have excellent academic outcomes on state testing. We provide outstanding support for our teachers

We are seeking a teacher who is able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and has experience with economically disadvantaged students. Our Special Education department is supported by an onsite school psychologist and an onsite PPS school counselor.
