Special Education Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, and other learning challenges. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that align with IEP goals and state standards.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to support student development and progress.
• Utilize various teaching methods, including speech therapy, behavioral therapy, and literacy education techniques.
• Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student performance and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Provide early intervention strategies for students requiring additional support in areas such as math and literacy.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders about achievements and challenges.
• Foster a nurturing environment that promotes childhood development through engaging activities in both academic and physical education settings.
• Stay updated on learning technologies and innovative teaching practices to enhance educational outcomes for students with disabilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $43.00 per hour
