Pay rate - $55/hr. to $58/hr.(with tax benefit )

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who have diverse learning needs, including autism and developmental disabilities. This role involves creating an inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth for all students. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and implementing tailored instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.

Duties

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, staff, and specialists.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
• Design and adapt curriculum to accommodate various learning styles and abilities, including literacy education and math.
• Provide speech therapy and behavioral therapy as needed to support students' communication and social skills.
• Conduct assessments, including standardized testing, to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate learning technology into lesson planning and classroom activities.
• Support early intervention strategies for students requiring additional assistance in their development.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
• Foster strong communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive educational experience.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior management strategies, and classroom activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with children with disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom experience in diverse settings such as private schools or daycare environments.
• Familiarity with behavioral health strategies and techniques for managing behavior in the classroom.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff members.
• Experience with IEP development and implementation is essential.
