Waterford Montessori Academy, a tuition-free PreK–8 public charter school, is seeking a Michigan-certified Special Education Teacher (or certified teacher enrolled in a special education program) to join our growing and dynamic team for the 2025–2026 school year.

• Three (soon to be four!) Special Education Teachers
• Two Social Workers
• Social Work Aides
• Contracted Speech and OT Services

What We’re Looking For:

• Michigan Teacher Certification with a Special Education endorsement
• OR certified teacher currently enrolled in a special education program
• Passion for supporting diverse learners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to implement and adapt curriculum based on students’ needs and IEP goals

Your Role Includes:

• Teaching and supporting K–8 students in academic, behavioral, and social development
• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Using data to inform instruction and measure progress
• Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
