Overview
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of students with diverse learning needs. You will create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every student can thrive. Your expertise in special education will empower you to develop tailored lesson plans, implement effective teaching strategies, and foster meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues. What you’ll do

  • Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum materials to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Provide early intervention services to support students' developmental milestones.
  • Foster communication skills through literacy education, behavioral therapy, and hands-on activities.
  • Engage with families to build strong partnerships that enhance student learning and well-being.

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with children with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with learning technology tools that enhance educational experiences.
  • Background in behavior management strategies and childhood development theories.
  • Experience in private school settings or Montessori methods is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
