• 4 year College Degree - Exceptional Education Degree (preferred)
• Experience working with students who have learning differences (preferred)

A Special Education Teacher with RCA will be a Christian that inspires our students to learn not only in their academics but also grow in their relationship with God.

We are looking for those who will give their bondservant yes, and treat this position as a mission field; knowing you are an ambassador for the Gospel.

Essential Duties:

• Assess students with learning differences.
• Assist the primary teacher/curriculum specialist in providing student materials and direct instruction.
• Identify student's individual needs
• Push in/Pull out and work with students who require additional assistance.
• Demonstrate spiritual maturity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities to inspire students academically and spiritually.
• Effectively help manage classroom procedures and provide a positive classroom environment.
• Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal, strong organizational skills, ability to finish tasks in a timely manner and be able to collaborate with others.

Qualifications:

* Lifestyle that is consistent with Biblical principles–member of a local church.

* Ongoing affirmation and demonstration of the RCA statement of faith and values.

* 4 year College Degree.

* Current or past experience working in a classroom setting for at least 2 years preferably with lower and upper level elementary students.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
