Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher (Resource) to join our dynamic educational team. In this vital role, you will support students with diverse learning needs by providing tailored instructional strategies, behavioral support, and collaborative planning. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with lead teachers, therapists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet each student’s unique needs
  • Assist in designing and adapting curriculum materials across subjects such as literacy, math, and life skills to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
  • Provide direct instructional support to students with disabilities, including those with autism, hearing impairments, or developmental delays
  • Implement behavioral management strategies and behavioral therapy techniques to promote positive behavior and social skills
  • Conduct assessments, monitor progress through standardized testing, and document student development accurately
  • Support early intervention initiatives by working closely with preschool-aged children to enhance childhood development milestones
  • Maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment through effective classroom management and childcare best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Childhood Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Valid teaching certification with endorsement in special education or equivalent credentials
  • Proven classroom experience working with students with disabilities in diverse settings such as private schools or early childhood programs
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and standard testing procedures
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, hearing impairments (deaf education), or behavioral health needs
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, speech therapy techniques, behavioral management strategies, and behavioral health interventions
  • Excellent communication skills for mentoring students and collaborating with colleagues and families effectively
