Special Education Teacher SETSS

Special Education SETSS Teacher (7-8) - Bronx

We are seeking a New York State certified Special Education / Students with Disabilities - SETSS teacher to join our team in the Bronx. This is a contract position with competitive pay, providing in-person, one-on-one, and small group instruction in Math and ELA.

What You'll Do:

• Manage and instruct students in Math and ELA grades 7-8.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans.
• Track student attendance and write monthly progress reports.
• Maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
• Ensure the health and safety of all students.

Schedule:

• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2:45 pm - 4:30pm (grades 7-8)

What We're Looking For:

• New York State Special Education / Students with Disabilities Certification (Initial, Permanent, K-12, Transitional B or Literacy).
• Can not be employed by the New York City Department of Education or have been within the last 12 months.
• Experience working with students in small groups.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Fingerprint clearance.

Compensation:

• Salary: $65-$85 per hour
• Job Type: Contract, Part-time
• Payroll: Semi-monthly
