Full-Time | 35 hours | 12-month school calendar program

Salary: $75K - $90K/yr, based upon experience and credentials

Brookville Center for Children’s Services provides comprehensive services for children 3-21 years of age with intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury and autism. Approved by NYSED, DOH and OCFS, our mission is to educate and support children of all abilities.

We require:

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred
• NYS Certification in Special Education
• Early childhood teaching experience with a special education preschool required; A minimum of one (1) year of early childhood-related experience to plan individual education plans (IEP’s) to meet the special needs of each child preferred
• Physical capacity: Aspects may include, but are not limited to, lifting and transferring of students

Cultural competencies required:

• Demonstrated willingness and aptitude working with children with intellectual, physical and other developmental disabilities
• Demonstration of the ability to communicate and effectively interact with people across cultures, ranges of disability, genders, ethnicities, and races
• Demonstration of the ability to recognize and manage personal behaviors to create an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment
