About The Opportunity
We operate in the Child Development & Special Education sector, delivering early intervention, individualized learning plans and inclusive classroom support for children with developmental delays and learning differences across India. Our centre partners with families and allied therapists to improve functional outcomes and school readiness for children aged 2–14 years.
Position: Special Education Teacher (Mumbai)
Role & Responsibilities

Assess children’s developmental, academic and adaptive skills using structured tools; create clear baseline reports and progress summaries.

Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with measurable goals; adapt lesson plans and learning materials to each child’s needs.

Deliver targeted interventions (one-to-one and small group) using evidence-based techniques for autism, learning disabilities and developmental delays.

Implement behaviour-support plans and positive behaviour strategies; monitor outcomes and revise interventions based on data.

Collaborate with speech & occupational therapists, psychologists and parents to coordinate therapy goals and classroom carryover strategies.

Maintain accurate records, progress reports and parent-facing communication; participate in multidisciplinary meetings and transition planning.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
-
Certificate or diploma in Special Education or equivalent professional qualification.

Practical experience implementing IEPs and behaviour-support strategies in school or centre settings.

Working knowledge of Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.

Familiarity with augmentative & alternative communication (AAC) approaches and assistive learning technology.

Strong progress-monitoring practice using data to inform instruction and adapt interventions.
Preferred

Experience with early intervention programmes for preschool-aged children.

Training or certification in ABA, sensory integration techniques or inclusive classroom strategies.

Prior exposure to multidisciplinary therapy coordination and parent training.
