Special Events Worker - Banquet Server

Job Overview
As a Special Events Worker, you will play a crucial role in executing various events to ensure they run smoothly and successfully in a banquet serving role. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-call position. We will contact you when special events are in your area to see if you are available. You will be able to accept or decline any job opportunity.

Duties

Waitstaff:

• Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
• Relay food and beverage orders.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
• Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person.
• Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
• Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Server
• Knowledge of health and safety rules
• Ability to set and clear tables, carry dinnerware and beverages
• A team player with good communication skills
• Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
• Very good physical condition and endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable
• Must be at least 18 years old

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
