Special Needs Nanny & Household Assistant | $23-$28/hr | Huntsville | Imagine Care Nannies

Imagine Care Nannies is seeking a compassionate, proactive nanny and household assistant for a wonderful Huntsville family with two children.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating calm, supportive environments, values meaningful relationships, and takes pride in helping both children and households thrive.

Candidates with backgrounds in nursing, special education, therapy services, healthcare, professional nannying, or family assistance are especially encouraged to apply.

The family’s daughter is a sweet, independent school-age child with additional support needs who thrives with routine, consistency, and a calm, supportive environment. She does not require constant entertainment, but benefits from a patient, observant caregiver who can provide gentle guidance, assistance with personal care, and support with communication tools.

The family is hoping to find someone who is looking for more than just a job. They would love to welcome a dependable, long-term caregiver who can become a trusted and valued part of their family’s support system.

Schedule

Guaranteed pay for 18 hours per week

Typical Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday
  • Approximately 3:00 PM–6:30 PM

The family is flexible on start date and is prioritizing finding the right fit over filling the position quickly.

Childcare Responsibilities

  • School and therapy pick-up on designated days
  • Providing attentive supervision and support
  • Assisting with personal care needs
  • Supporting communication devices and communication tools
  • Preparing and serving snacks and pre-planned meals
  • Encouraging independence while remaining available and attentive
  • Creating a calm, predictable environment
  • Helping with daily routines and transitions

Household Assistant Responsibilities

This family highly values initiative and is looking for someone who naturally notices what needs to be done and enjoys helping a household run smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Children’s laundry
  • Emptying dishwasher
  • Kitchen organization and upkeep
  • General tidying of family spaces
  • Monitoring pantry and refrigerator inventory
  • Communicating household supply needs to parents
  • Supporting the overall flow and organization of the home

  • Education or special education
  • Professional nannying
  • Family assistant or household management roles

Compensation & Benefits

  • $23-$28 per hour, depending on experience
  • Guaranteed weekly pay for 18 hours
  • Additional hours available during some travel weeks
