Special Needs Nanny/Instructor

Job Overview

Busy, single, professional mom is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic person. This amazing person should be able to multitask, take initiative, and most of all be interested in children with special needs. Our perfect helper is responsible, kind, compassionate, reliable, self-assured, a team player who can work independently, fun, creative, and upbeat!

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, one-on-one care
• Assist with daily routines (meals, hygiene, activities)
• Support emotional regulation and social development
• Engage in structured play, learning, or therapy-based activities
• Follow any behavioral or therapy plans

Qualifications:

• Experience with autism or special needs preferred
• Patient, calm, and dependable personality
• Strong communication skills
• Background check required

Preferred (but not required):

· Experience with ABA therapy or similar approaches

· Relevant education (psychology, education, special education, OT, Speech Path, etc.)

Flexibility to work additional hours some weeks if needed would be a plus but not necessary. Occasional overnights are required.

This is not a position where you will be able to do homework, surf the net, or text friends during work hours.

This position can be very rewarding for the right person. You must enjoy working with children. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
