<Job Summary>
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Special Needs Teacher to join our team! In this vital role, you will develop and implement tailored educational plans, foster inclusive classroom environments, and support children with diverse needs. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire students to reach their full potential while ensuring they feel valued and supported every day.

<Duties>

  • Design and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with each student’s IEP (Individualized Education Program) and developmental needs.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including curriculum development, learning technology, and instructional design, to engage students with disabilities such as autism, developmental delays, visual impairments, and hearing impairments.
  • Implement behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavioral health strategies to promote positive behavior management.
  • Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to support comprehensive student development.
  • Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and ongoing observations; adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Maintain detailed records of student performance, behavior management plans, and progress reports; proofread documentation for accuracy.
  • Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages social-emotional growth, literacy education, math skills, physical education, and recreational therapy activities.

<Requirements>

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; advanced certifications in special education are preferred.
  • Proven classroom experience working with children with disabilities in diverse settings such as private schools or early intervention programs.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, Montessori methods, preschool experience, and toddler care.
  • Expertise in working with individuals with autism, deaf education, visually impaired education, and other special needs populations.
  • Proficiency in communication skills essential for mentoring families and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with IEP development and implementation; familiarity with behavioral health techniques including behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that promotes learning and socialization. Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
