Specialist / Consultant Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgeon

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders (stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and related organs).
• Perform a wide range of GI surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and advanced minimally invasive surgeries.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring patient safety and the highest quality of treatment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including oncologists, gastroenterologists, and radiologists for comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in departmental meetings, research, and continuous medical education (CME) activities.
• Maintain detailed patient records in line with UAE healthcare compliance and licensing requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Medical Degree with specialization in General Surgery / GI Surgery.
• Valid UAE DHA license or eligibility letter.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-specialization experience, with strong surgical expertise.
• Proficiency in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.
• A commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.
