Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join our healthcare facility in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions, ensuring high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with emergency and urgent medical conditions
• Provide rapid evaluation and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients
• Perform emergency procedures including but not limited to airway management, resuscitation, trauma care, and acute cardiac management
• Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests such as laboratory results, imaging, and ECGs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Supervise and guide junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff when required
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and emergency preparedness activities
• Adhere to ethical medical practices and patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
• Specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine (MD / MS / DNB / Arab Board / equivalent)
• Valid MOH / DHA / DOH license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the UAE
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-specialization experience in Emergency Medicine (preferred)
• Strong clinical decision-making and crisis management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications (preferred or required as per facility policy)
