Specialist Emergency Medicine – Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
- Provide immediate stabilization and life-saving interventions for critically ill or injured patients.
- Perform emergency procedures such as airway management, intubation, suturing, fracture management, central line insertion, and resuscitation as required.
- Interpret laboratory results, ECGs, and diagnostic imaging to facilitate timely clinical decision-making.
- Coordinate patient care with specialists, consultants, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals.
- Determine appropriate patient disposition, including discharge, admission, observation, or transfer to higher levels of care.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive medical documentation.
- Participate in trauma, cardiac arrest, and other emergency response teams.
- Adhere to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Supervise and support junior medical staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals when required.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Maintain DHA and professional licensing requirements and participate in continuing medical education activities.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and departmental performance objectives.

- DHA License / Eligibility as Specialist Emergency Medicine.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine.
- Minimum relevant experience in Emergency Medicine.
- Current BLS and ATCN certifications preferred.
- Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
Pay: Up to AED22,000.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
