    Specialist II
    Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience)
    High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and two (2) years of related experience. Intermediate computer skills required (i.e., ability to use email, Word, Excel, databases and other applications).
    Preferred (Education/Experience)
    Advanced computer skills preferred.

    Special Notes
    Collier County Public Schools desires a candidate to provide administrative support for the Facilities Management Department, Project Management Team. Duties include:
    • Receives, verifies accuracy, and processes pay applications and invoices for weekly payments;
    • liaises with Construction Management Companies to ensure pay application back-up documentation is provided;
    • verifies retainage amount is correct and checks overall amounts in pay application;
    • creates and maintains a spreadsheet for each purchase order payment, credit or change to ensure accuracy;
    • coordinates with Project Managers and Senior director for pay application approvals;
    • coordinates with the Accounting Department to facilitate the timely processing of payments for pay applications and invoices;
    • collect lien waivers if applicable;
    • reconcile all purchase orders and Direct Material Purchases to ensure proper closure at the completion of each project;
    • verifies GMP, change orders, GMP reconciliation, and final completion documents' accuracy before submitting to Board monthly considering payment history;
    • coordinates with Accounting Department and Construction Management Companies to complete the "End of Fiscal Year" process;
    • distributes payments to Construction Management Companied and vendors;
    • create, process and track purchase order requisitions for GMP, Facility Modifications and Facilities Planning and Design projects approved by the Board or Chief Facilities Officer;
    • maintains a working knowledge of the procedural and legal responses between the school district and the Department of Education as they relate to construction rules and regulations;
    • answer phone;
    • copy and scan documents;
    • read and respond to emails.
