Specialist Lifting Operation

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Lifting Operations Specialist to lead and supervise complex and critical lifting activities in offshore oil and gas environments. The ideal candidate will bring over 18 years of hands-on experience in lifting, rigging, and crane operations, with a proven track record of safe and efficient execution in high-risk, offshore conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise, and execute lifting operations in compliance with international standards (LOLER, API RP 2D, BS 7121).

• Prepare and review Lifting Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for all offshore lifting activities.

• Ensure all lifting equipment is certified and fit for use, coordinate with inspection teams.

• Lead safety briefings and toolbox talk prior to every lifting operation.

• Provide technical guidance on selection of lifting gear, rigging configurations, and crane capacities.

• Manage and train riggers, crane operators, and lifting crew members offshore.

• Interface with project, construction, and HSE teams to ensure safe execution during shutdowns, installations, or decommissioning campaigns.

• Maintain documentation and logs for audits, incidents, and daily activities.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering

• 18+ Years of experience in the Oil&Gas industry

• Lifting Supervisor / LOLER Appointed Person Certification

• OPITO BOSIET / FOET (valid offshore survival certification)

• Rigging & Slinging (Level 3 or equivalent)

• H2S, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height (as required)

• NEBOSH / IOSH (preferred)
