Specialist Pediatric ER

SearchPlus HR is seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Pediatric ER physician to join our exceptional healthcare team. In this critical role, you will provide high-quality emergency medical care to pediatric patients facing urgent health challenges. You will leverage your specialized knowledge and skills to assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of acute medical conditions and injuries in children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform rapid and thorough assessments of pediatric patients in emergency situations.
• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and traumatic injuries effectively.
• Stabilize patients and determine the need for advanced care or specialized interventions.
• Carry out necessary procedures such as intubations, suturing, and intravenous line placements.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive emergency care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing reassurance and clarity regarding treatment plans.
• Accurately document all patient interactions and care provided in electronic medical records.
• Participate in the mentorship and training of junior medical staff and emergency medicine residents.

Requirements

• MD/DO degree with completed residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Board certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or eligibility for certification.
• Active medical license in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Extensive clinical experience in a pediatric emergency department setting.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to function effectively in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children and families.
• Commitment to teamwork and collaboration in a healthcare setting.
• Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying current in pediatric emergency medicine.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and healthcare technology.
