Medical doctor who specializes in the health and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents from birth through adolescence. They focus on diagnosing, treating, and preventing childhood illnesses, as well as monitoring growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine checkups, physical exams, and developmental assessments.
- Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses, infections, and injuries.
- Administer vaccinations and ensure children follow immunization schedules.
- Monitor growth, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Provide guidance to parents on nutrition, safety, sleep, and general health.
- Manage chronic conditions such as asthma, allergies, diabetes, or ADHD.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
- Collaborate with specialists when advanced care is needed.
- Maintain detailed medical records and ensure patient confidentiality.

Education & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (pre-medical or related field)
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Pediatric residency (3 years)
- Board certification in Pediatrics (optional but preferred)
- Valid DHA medical license
