In this pivotal role, you will provide specialized psychiatric care to individuals facing a range of mental health challenges.
As a Specialist Psychiatrist in a government healthcare facility, your focus will be on delivering compassionate and evidence-based treatment while ensuring the highest standards of care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans and support patients in their recovery journey.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients referred to the facility.
- Diagnose mental health disorders and develop personalized treatment plans based on best clinical practices.
- Administer and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring responses and side effects closely.
- Engage in individual and group therapy sessions to promote mental health and well-being.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, social workers, and community organizations to coordinate care and resources.
- Document patient progress and treatment interventions accurately in electronic health records.
- Participate in training and mentorship for less experienced staff and interns.
- Stay informed about advancements in psychiatric care, including new therapies and medications.
- Uphold ethical standards and legal guidelines governing mental health practice.
Requirements-
Board eligibility or certification in psychiatry is highly desirable.
