Role: Temp specialist support worker and relief staff

Location of role: LICS Community Based

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9-4.30 (9-4.00 Wednesday) Relief as and when to cover AL Sickness

Rate of Pay: £24.307.00 (£12.60 Per Hour)

Role Description:

We are seeking to hire specialist support workers for a temporary position to cover maternity leave for 12 months, as well as relief support workers to address absences due to annual leave and sickness. While prior experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement, as we offer comprehensive training and a 12-week induction program. At LICS, we focus on providing one-on-one support for adults with learning disabilities, helping them engage with their local communities, participate in chosen activities, and promote their independence, skill development, social connections, and overall well-being.

As a community-based outreach service, we prioritize person-centred support to ensure the safety of our clients while they enjoy their preferred activities. Experience and Skills:

• Good listening and communication skills with people with a learning disability.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning and physical difficulties would be beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to encourage and enable service users to make choices and take control of their lives and increase independence.
• Ability to assist Service Users in all areas of personal care in ways that maintain independence, privacy, and dignity.
• Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a range of people and professionals, as listed in the job description.
• Ability to respond to and complete paperwork.
• Good organizational skills.
