Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Vascular Surgeon to join our surgical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of vascular diseases involving arteries, veins, and lymphatic systems, delivering high-quality patient care in line with international clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with vascular conditions including arterial, venous, and lymphatic disorders
- Perform open and endovascular vascular surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care
- Interpret diagnostic imaging such as duplex ultrasound, CT angiography, and MR angiography
- Manage vascular emergencies including acute limb ischemia and vascular trauma
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including interventional radiology, cardiology, and critical care
- Ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff when required
Scope of Procedures (may include but not limited to)
- Peripheral arterial disease interventions
- Carotid artery surgery
- Aortic and endovascular procedures (EVAR)
- Varicose vein management (surgical and minimally invasive techniques)
- Dialysis access creation and maintenance
- Management of diabetic foot and vascular ulcers
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
- Specialist qualification in Vascular Surgery (MS, MCh, Arab Board, FRCS, or equivalent)
- Valid MOH / DHA / license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the UAE
- Minimum 2–3 years post-specialization experience as a Specialist Vascular Surgeon
- Strong expertise in both open and endovascular procedures
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
