Specialty Care Transport Paramedic

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No Nights, No Weekends, Paid Holidays Off)

Primary Responsibilities
Enjoy a dynamic but manageable operational pace with a targeted call breakdown of 40% Specialty Care Transport, 50% Routine Interfacility Transports, and 10% Emergency Scene Calls.
- Work in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment, routinely staffing transports alongside a Registered Nurse and an EMT (typical crew configuration: 1 Paramedic, 1 RN, 1 EMT).
- Deliver advanced, high-quality pre-hospital medical care to pediatric patients.
- Rapidly assess, stabilize, and monitor critical patients throughout transport.
- Collaborate closely with sending and receiving medical teams to ensure seamless, top-tier patient handoffs.
- Maintain and operate state-of-the-art medical equipment, including our Stryker LIFEPAK 35 cardiac monitors, power stretcher including power isolette.

Qualifications
- PA Paramedic Certificate/License required
- FP-C or CCP-C preferred
- EVOC & EMSVO credentialing
- CPR, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS/ITLS certifications required
- Current UPMC medical command preferred
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical including lifting test and drug screen.
