About the Role
We are an active, professional family looking for a warm, highly structured, and experienced specialized nanny to join our household team. We are looking for the right person to provide dedicated, compassionate care for our wonderful 9-year-old son, who is on the autism spectrum. We know that specialized caregiving requires immense patience and skill. We’ve designed this role to provide you with absolute income stability. You will be stepping into a respectful environment where your expertise is valued, your schedule is guaranteed, and you are treated as a true partner in our son’s development.
The Schedule (What to Expect)
The Afternoon Base: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons (1:30 PM –
5:30 PM). On Wednesdays and any other school early-release days, your shift will start at 11:30 AM.
Guaranteed Weekends & Travel: You will be guaranteed two weekends per month. We also love to take occasional multi-day family trips (typically Thursday–Sunday) and will need your support while we travel.
The Summer Shift: When school lets out for the summer and during extended breaks, your schedule could scale up to a full 40 hours per week during July and August.
How You Will Support Our Son
Afternoon Transitions: Safely pick up our son from school and create a calm, positive
environment after school. You will handle nutritional meal prep, assist with personal
hygiene and bathroom routines, and guide him smoothly through his afternoon. Development & Play: Lead sensory-friendly activities, encourage social milestones, and keep him engaged without screens.
Community Outings: Safely drive him to local therapies, appointments, and community activities using your personal vehicle.
Space Reset: Help us maintain a sense of calm by keeping his dedicated play and
learning areas tidy and organized at the end of your shift.
Provider Coordination: Provide supervision and coordination of in-home providers like ABA and Speech.
What You Bring to the Table
Professional Experience: 1+ years of verified experience working directly with
neurodivergent children. (If you have a background as an RBT, special education
paraprofessional, or behavioral aide, you will be a fantastic fit for this role).
The Logistics: A highly reliable personal vehicle, a clean driving record, active auto
insurance, and the ability to pass a standard criminal background check.
Your Approach: You are proactive, emotionally steady, communicative, and genuinely
enjoy helping children build independence.
How We Support You (The Perks)
Guaranteed Income: You are guaranteed your weekday base hours and your two
weekend shifts every single month.
W-2 Employment: You will be hired directly as a W-2 employee. We handle the employer payroll taxes and provide California-mandated paid sick leave.
Premium Travel Conditions: When you travel with us, we cover 100% of your flights,
meals, and expenses. We also guarantee you your own private hotel room or suite
bedroom so you can truly decompress and rest when you are off the clock.
To Apply:
We would love to hear from you! Please send a brief note introducing yourself, highlighting your experience working with neurodivergent children, and confirming your availability for the afternoon schedule and weekend/travel coverage.
