Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks using professional espresso equipment, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling procedures and food safety protocols.
• Assist with food preparation and serving of light snacks or baked goods, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
• Manage cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling, basic math calculations, and receipt issuance.
• Support the team in maintaining a clean, organized café environment while adhering to health regulations and safety guidelines.

Experience

• Previous barista experience in a specialty coffee or café setting is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso machine operation, and beverage customization.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse guests.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience in food handling, serving, and basic math skills related to retail math or café operations.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food preparation practices within the food industry is essential.
