The Senior Specialty Services Product Manager is responsible for the management, growth, and development of assigned product(s). The role will focus on leveraging in-depth knowledge and understanding of products across functions and market segments to drive revenue and profitability growth.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for strategic partner relationship management
- Leads the implementation and management of group or individual products which includes gathering and prioritizing product and market requirements, as well as working with sales, brokers, and internal resources to successfully deliver product solutions and ensure profitability, market growth and customer satisfaction.
- Manages ad-hoc and corporate projects.
- Works closely with Actuarial, Underwriting and Sales in defining the product strategy by market segment.
- Provide in-depth market, customer, and competitive analysis to help guide product positioning by market or customer.
- Guide product implementation and manage process to operationalize the product within the organization.
- Develop content and positioning for product, including sales collateral and training.
- Analyze the product segment goals/objective/project as assigned.
- Analyze/recommend potential third-party relationships as appropriate to support the product.
- Support the product segment goals/objectives/project as assigned corporate mandates.
- Serves as product expert across the Family of Companies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, related field or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years in insurance industry experience in areas of Benefits, Administration, Health Care Management or related field.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret contracts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare industry and understanding of the marketplace
- Ability to excel in a results’ driven environment and manage competing priorities
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented
- Above average problem-solving skills required
- Strong analytical, planning and goal setting skills required.
- Creativity and ability to work independently is required
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex marketing issues or products
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including presentation experience
- Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Technical aptitude required
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated success defining and launching products with experience in product strategy development, forecasting and planning.
Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania
