Special Education Teachers (High School) — 2025–2026 School Year
Location: Wilmerding, PA 15148
Compensation: $60–$65/hour
Work Year: Full-Time | 10-Month Position

We’re seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher to join the team for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction, support diverse learners, and collaborate closely with both academic and arts educators to ensure all students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals using evidence-based teaching practices.
- Develop, implement, and manage IEPs in compliance with Pennsylvania and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with general education and arts teachers to ensure inclusive classroom environments and meaningful accommodations.
- Support students through both push-in and pull-out models, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and service delivery.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences.
- Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) and contribute to social-emotional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification (PK–12 or 7–12) required.
- Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and Chapter 14 compliance requirements.
- Proven experience developing and managing IEPs and supporting students across a range of disabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
