Job Summary:
We are seeking someone who has a strong academic background in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, Hearing Science, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field. The ideal candidate should be able to explain complex concepts in a clear, patient, and organized way.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for someone who can help students with topics such as:
- Introduction to Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
- Speech and Hearing Anatomy and Physiology
- Phonetics and Speech Sound Development
- Language Development
- Speech and Language Disorders
- Hearing Science and Audiology Basics
- Speech Science
- Communication Disorders
- Assessment and Treatment Concepts
- Research or writing support related to Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences
The tutor will be expected to provide online tutoring, explain course material clearly, assist with assignments and exam preparation, and adjust teaching style based on the student’s needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Audiology, Hearing Science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of speech, language, hearing, and communication disorders
- Prior tutoring, teaching, clinical, or academic support experience preferred
- Ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple and organized way
- Reliable, professional, and responsive
- Comfortable teaching online through Zoom or a similar platform
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate-level background in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Experience teaching or tutoring college students
- Familiarity with undergraduate or graduate-level coursework in SLHS/CSD programs
- Strong writing and academic support skills
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
