Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing functions using standardized assessment tools and clinical observations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals, incorporating behavioral interventions and therapeutic techniques.
  • Deliver engaging therapy sessions through in-person or telehealth platforms, ensuring effective communication and progress monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment progress, and care plans within electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
  • Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, behavioral interventions, and home exercise programs to support ongoing improvement.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, dietitians, and social workers to coordinate patient care effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards, patient safety protocols including basic life support (BLS) and CPR certifications, and regulatory guidelines related to wound care and hyperbaric medicine when applicable.
  • Engage with culturally diverse communities by demonstrating sensitivity to different backgrounds and communication styles to foster inclusive patient care experiences.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program; licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
  • Proven experience working with a variety of communication disorders across different age groups; prior exposure to telehealth platforms is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for documentation and client communication.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and related healthcare fields such as hyperbaric medicine or wound care is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement behavioral interventions effectively within diverse populations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas like patient treatment planning, telehealth delivery methods, and cultural competence in healthcare settings.

Pay: $60.00 - $95.00 per hour
