Position Overview

JC Utilities LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Splicing Technician to join our field operations team. This role involves performing cable splicing, testing, repairs, and maintenance work on utility networks and infrastructure. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on technical work, has strong troubleshooting abilities, and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform splicing, termination, and repair of utility cables and related infrastructure
• Inspect cable systems and identify faults, damage, or performance issues
• Conduct testing and verification procedures to ensure proper network operation
• Read and interpret utility maps, work orders, and technical diagrams
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of underground and aerial utility systems
• Document completed work and maintain accurate service records
• Operate tools, testing equipment, and machinery safely and effectively
• Coordinate with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule
• Follow all company, industry, and safety regulations while working in the field

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cable splicing, utility construction, telecommunications, electrical work, or a related field preferred
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting equipment and materials
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
