Sportswear Apparel Designer

Full job description

Just One is looking for an experienced Designer for our Sportswear Apparel Department. The Designer will be responsible for the entire design process and workflow to ensure high level execution. They will work with internal and external partners to ensure development and presentation is completed on time.

Just One sources and sells Women’s apparel to major retailers. Just One has been in the Apparel Business since 2007 and is located in NYC. Our brands represent juniors, missy and plus sizes in sportswear, intimates, outerwear, sleepwear, and much more.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for technical package process from creating design sketches, detailed artwork, and fabric/yarn information.

· Maintain and update sample/trim approvals for each customer account. Manage check-in process of seasonal development daily.

· The Designer must have an eye for detail and ability to interpret market research for customer appropriate product.

· Ability to multitask and pivot between responsibilities in a fast paced office environment.

· Update sample charts and tech packs.

· Collaborate with sales team to create presentation decks accordingly.

· Shop local market to better understand customer product, retail trends, and market direction.

· Participate in meetings with customers and assist Sales team in presentations when needed.

Qualifications:

· 3- 5 years of related experience required

· Bachelors in Fashion Design

· Must have experience in cut & sew

· Knowledge of garment construction

· Independent, self-motivated, and detail oriented with a strong follow through

· Must be highly organized with clear verbal and written skills

· Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
